For the Durin's Folk DLC, I created key progression and systemic assets critical to the DLC's core gameplay and player advancement loops. Working from initial concepts through to final implementation, I delivered two massive dwarven monuments, their multi-stage construction assemblages, and the light-reflecting puzzle mirrors that unlock new areas of Khazad-dûm.
Key Responsibilities:
Full Asset Pipeline: Translated 2D concept artwork into 3D, managing the complete production pipeline including initial blockout, a detailed topology/blockout pass, high-poly sculpting, and final textures.
Modular Kitbashing (Construction Stages): Designed and built the progressive construction stage assemblages by kitbashing existing in-engine components, strictly adhering to technical and design specifications for multi-tier visual progression.
Technical Optimization (Puzzle Mirrors): Created a modular solution for the light-reflecting mirrors by designing a single, optimized base structure capable of accommodating both mirror variants, saving significant texture memory and production time.
One thing to note the awesome Jewel like material for the mirrors and one of the Monuments was created by Željka Ludošan who did a fantastic job on wrapping up the final additions to these assets.
